Deliverance Goes Underground!

This week starts the premiere of the movie in our country,
some eight months later after being shown in UK and The US
and at my home on DvD!
Yes, I've watched it earlier in February this year!

I beleive quite many might not have watched it as
it is not a very publicized movie.
Even it's posters were so confined with limitations
and I really dunno why it is so not exposed!

Popular movies like Resident Evil and The Hills have eyes
had so much publicity on it long before it's premier.

Well, probably it's about it's creator Neil Marshall.
His Dog Soldiers ( of 2002 ) has very little publicity too!
I can tell you that I, as a horror flick,
I really love it, and the original Descent
(Might as well call it Part One)
At that time I believe a sequent wasn't in mind.

However, this follow up was directed by Jon Harris
instead of Marshall himself though it is still released by Lions Gate.

The story here continues with the rescued sole survivor
of 6 friends, Sarah ( Shawna MacDonald )
who went on a yearly adventure
into a cave system up in the Appalachian Mountains
and found themselves faced with death of deadly creatures
from the dark deep that feed on fresh meat!

This epic however is quite similar to an earlier movie version
of The Cave that also had creatures of the dark.

I quite like the action drama by Natalie Mendoza
who plays Juno as she portrays herself as close by
as actresses like Kate Beckinsale of Underworld
and Milla Jovovich of Resident Evil.

Probably a bit of the actress who'll be in the next movie, Machette.
Yes, Michelle Rodrigues of Fast and Furious
Honestly, Natalie has the looks and probably that's why
she survived in this part 2.

Until the next episode, have a happy weekEND!

PS - this is not actually a movie review bLoGsite but just that
something reminded me of movies and that's why I am stuck with this
and it's gonna be awhile before I come up with something else!
Well, though I must admit I quite like talking about movies b'cos
I am a movie crazee fan!

The Descent Poster

Oh yes, the bLoG title Deliverance Goes Underground
was actually mentioned by the creator, Neil Marshall.
And this is The Descent!

Collection of The Descent Part 2 was obtained earlier this year
and I've  watched it during The Lunar New Year in February 2010
before it was shown at the theaters.

Friday the 13th

One would wonder how many Friday 13th happens in a year, have you?
Well, today seems to be the only Friday 13th in this year!
The next will arrive in May 2011,
which happens to be a bad memory day in our country
where it was a sad day of riot between the people
of which I am not going to relate it.

However, this remake was premiered last year and
there were three (3) Friday 13th in 2009!
This show premiers on February 13th on a Friday,
and the other 2 Friday 13ths happened in March & November!
Some may not have known that this movie, Friday 13th is
related to the name Jason Voorhees who seems to never die!
With him there is unending horrors that surrounds
the vicinity of a place called Crystal Lake.

There has been a series of the continuing horrors on this movie
in which one of them even had him face to face with
Freddy Krueger of The Nightmare on Elm Street!
It was simply entitled Freddy vs Jason

Well, and it never ended there either because then
there was yet another film that broguht his horrors into SPACE!
Like in space no one hear you sCream?
Yes, and it happens in a distant future where hi-tech existed!
And he was a legend in that future!
It was called Jason X.
Incredibly exciting isn't it?
To sum it all I like this more than the Krueger guy with his
scary dreams! But of course he is also one that hardly ever die too!
Well, if you have not watched it, I suggest you get to a DvD!
What more to say if such a movie is produced by Michael Bay?
Teamed with Director Marcus Nispel of
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ( in 2003 ),
this film's remake turned out as expected -
Fun and enjoyable for down to earth guys like me!
eNjOy and have HORRORs!

As the quote at the poster goes -
WELCOME TO CRYSTAL LAKE!

Friday the 13th - Theatre Poster

Jason lives in the Future!

Well, might as well share this poster
JASON Voorhees lives in the future with his Never Die horrors!
And at the end of the story, he really never did die, again!

The Masked Man vs The Dream Killer!

The fight between the two UNDIENG!
How did they resolve this?
One talked too much and making hell lot of noice
while the other do not speak and is very silent!
Both kills anyway!

Well, this movie did not fall on a Friday 13th
probably because of Freddy Krueger.
But it happened in the month of August, 2003!

Have you watched all of them yet?

The Jason Horrors - My Video Vault

These are the 2 later parts of the Jason Chronicles,

It form part of my Video Library.
Until next year when Blueray players & discs

Orbital Dysfunctional System

ODS for short, a word the doctors classified from a psychological breakdown from hypersleep malfunction. Yes, hypersleep! Simply means it's in space, where no one will hear you scream!

This is a dramatic horrifying space journey that brings you some nerve-wrecking excitement!
Called The Eden Mission, that leads to this malfunction caused from a two long years of hypersleep in which the pilots ( astraunauts actually ) called it
Shown in theatres last year in October, I only managed to watch it from my home DvD in February this year. I have a bad habit, that is to watch a movie in theatre on the very first day or if I missed, I'll try to watch it at the final day! But the problem is, the theatre operators can't confirm which day is the last unless I happened to find out about it! Mostly I wouldn't and sometimes it's spontaneous - yes, I happened to be there! one in a thousand times!

Well, I'm not going to make this site a movie review page. it's just that movies kept coming on almost endlessly. I mean really good movies! And, mind you, psi-fis, horrors and very dramatic genres comes onto us more often than the rest! People just love this more! That's why after X-Files, you have Fringe! And now a remake of an older Tv series, "V" which has just completed it's Season 1.

Now, back to Pandorum. It's whole story is about this ODS, an illusion of side effects that happens on board a substantially hugh gigantic spacecraft, the Elysium. So the story begins and ends tragically! And the story begins the following opening sequence......

Year one at the planet Taris, population 1213, after the ship was evacuated and launched some 5,000 people into space, into oblivion.

1909 - Man landed on moon. World population - 3.6 billion.
2009 - Kepler telescope launched to search for Earth-like planets
World population - 6.76 billion
2153 - Paleo 17 space probe landed on planet Taris.
Food and water shortage are commonplace.
2173 - The battle for earth's limited resources reaches boiling point.
Spacecraft Elysium is launched.

The scene begins with the flight of Elysium where Pandorum became it's tragic ending!

DON'T FEAR THE END OF THE WORLD
FEAR WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!

Far From Grace!

When a soul crosses to the afterlife,
it journeys into one of two opposing realms.
A divine source of evil and malevolence,
a midworld exists for the souls,
whose judgement has yet to be decided.
It is commonly referred to as purgatory!
For centuries,
seven Arc Angels, protectors of the Light,
and seven fallen, soldiers of the Dark,
have silently fought for balance of power,
over the unclaimed souls!
Each side is restricted to sending
only one warrior in every cycle
Upon arrival, they must assume a human form!
At present, darkness rules,
and has the strongest grip on the city,
that it has ever held!
This is the story of the Archangel, Gabriel........
That has been Gabriel that came about in 2007.
Acted by Andy Whitfield as we see him now in the latest Tv series
Spartacus, Blood and Sand
categorized under vulgar, blood, gore, nudity and sex!
Earlier this year in January, the movie LEGION has the story that God has lost faith in human kind. He sent His Legion of Angels to bring on the Apocalypse and humanity's hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert of nowhere with their savior Archangel, Michael ( Bettany ). And the battleground for the human race begin till the end with the hope of one unborn child!

Long before these 2 movies that came about, there has been one such successful movie too! It was in 1998, entitled City of Angels, acted by Nicholas Cage and co-star
Meg Ryan. Of course then there were others like this 2003 movie, Angels in America, which has Al Pacino and Meryl Streep with co-stars Emma Thompson
But this movie wasn't that much of a suspense and not a bit of horror in it.
Well, I just love those movies!
What's yours?
